Ms Tsui Lai Fong

A member of the Hong Kong Baptist Hospital Au Shue Hung Health Centre, Tsui Lai Fong feels she has learnt much at BCT Third Age Academy’s financial talk, in which she took part through the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. "After the financial tsunami, it became more important that we acquire more knowledge before making investment decisions, which is why I attended the talk. Now I know more about investment tools such as bonds and callable bull / bear contracts." Tsui hopes there would be more financial talks in the future, adding that "the atmosphere was great and everyone was engaged", and "the presentation of materials made it easy to understand".

Ms Chelsia Ng
Hong Kong Family Welfare Society Centre-in-charge (Neighbourhood Elderly Centre)

Chelsia Ng of Hong Kong Family Welfare Society says arranging a financial talk with BCT Third Age Academy is an opportunity hard to come by. "We knew all the way that the more mature ones also need to know about financial management, but it has been difficult to find the right speaker." Highly commending the collaboration, Ng says, "Being our first financial management talk in recent years, the topic appeals to participants who asked a lot of questions, quite unexpectedly. The atmosphere and the response were good and we hope there will be more collaboration opportunities with BCT Third Age Academy."
